• Active learner (cookie, essential): remembers which child profile is currently learning, so progress saves to the right person.
• Theme preference (local storage): remembers your light/dark choice. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.

The items above are strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for (signing in and saving your work), so under UK/EU rules they do not require prior consent. We measure how the site is used, but with a cookieless tool — it sets no cookie, uses no device fingerprint, does not follow anyone across other websites, and builds no profile of any visitor. It tells us which pages are opened and roughly where in the world from, and nothing that identifies a person. Because it stores nothing on your device, there is still nothing optional to consent to. If we ever add non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this notice.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but blocking the essential ones will stop sign-in and progress-saving from working. Clearing local storage will reset your theme preference.
