Terms of Service

Accounts must be created by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over, who is responsible for the account and for any children who learn under it. Children may use the service only under the supervision and consent of that adult. By creating an account you confirm you are legally able to enter into this agreement.

Keep your login details confidential and let us know promptly of any unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used unlawfully.

• The free tier is available at no cost. Paid plans unlock additional cases and features as described on the pricing page.
• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; your plan stays active until the end of the current paid period, after which it will not renew.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable for partial periods. Prices may change with notice; changes apply from your next renewal.

You agree not to:

• share, resell, or provide access to the service beyond your household or licensed seats;
• copy, scrape, or redistribute our lessons, code, or content;
• attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service; or
• use the service unlawfully or to harm others.

The cases, curriculum, branding, and software are owned by Le Balcon Ltd and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use them for learning. The code and notes a learner writes belong to them; by saving them you allow us to store and display them back to you as part of the service.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” While we work hard to keep it accurate and running, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose beyond what is described.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Le Balcon Ltd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence). Where liability is permitted to be limited, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached. On closure we will handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts there have jurisdiction, unless mandatory local consumer-protection law gives you other rights.
